Dont !, by the time it reaches level 20 it will actually have gotten weaker thanks to Anet beating them relentlessly with the nerf stick.

Plus nobody likes a Paragon he makes the party abit stronger(but his ability to do this is slowly being crippled) and has no role so you will not be able to find teammates to do the missions with.

Pick another class Anets killing this one.

I have not ever had trouble finding a group or playing through the game. Paragons are an excellent choice if you want to be able to fill multiple roles with one character...

it is true that they do not fill one of the 'standard roles' (aka tank, nuker, healer) but that is the reason why I like them. My suggestion is to first master one of the base classes then try the paragon out.

read the 'paragon basics' for more info on getting started.

Paragons I think are fun to play. They can be made in pretty good ranged damage dealers with some group support, or you can focus on the support which is still decent.

And you can get groups pretty easy in most of the game, just not in elite areas where paragons (along with some other classes) are not considered mandatory. Be ready to deal with narrow minded fools if you do intend to spend alot of time in those areas.

And FeroxC is probably pissed about our PvE skill having been nerfed pretty hard. That in itself sucks quite alot but despite that 'issue' I still think the paragon is a fun class to play. If you're not looking for leet solo farming builds and just play to enjoy the game I'm sure you'll like your paragon.

Paragons are fillers, IMO.

Party needs a tank - Paragons have the same armor has warriors (base 80) and can have shouts to increase their defenses. Ranged, yes, but P/W can be used to be melee; P/D or P/A also.

Party needs a healer, have 1 monk already - supplement party healing with chants, shouts, and has protective abilities (removing conditions and damage reduction) to be a supporter (not a real healer, but one that can help make a nice difference - humans are better than Mehnlo IMHO). We had a hero and my P/Me heal the party (a couple of deaths, but beat Abadon's Mouth).

Paragons can provide energy to others as well.

I think they are good, but are the whipping class for nerfs.

Imo, Paragons are the best profession.

IAS
DPS
Save Yourselves
Party Support
Healing
Etc.

Also, they're used as SPIKE and in BALANCED in HA.

I must agree. but save yourselves is warrior.

they are one of the best characters...once you have the right build. check out the thread that talks about damage dealing/support paragon, a couple lines bellow.

here, I'll do the job for ya, check out the thread, try the build and bow to how your paragon can hold an entire team alive.

just to show you how it works well, I survived cantha, elona and surviving EOTN.

PvE only skills "Save Yourselves!" and "There's Nothing to Fear!" make a P/W's team nigh invincible. Just bring an LoD to mop up some crap and the prot monk won't really have to do much at all.
